What is a crown?

Crowns are needed when a tooth is no longer strong enough to bear the brunt of day to day function. Think of a crown like a thimble, protecting vulnerable tissue with something more robust. Crowns can also be used to improve your smile.

Our skilled team works with extreme precision to remove any damaged or unwanted tooth structure and make room to fit a protective crown over the top of the prepared tooth.

Rebuilding Confidence, Step by Step

Avoiding the dentist can lead to worsening dental issues, affecting confidence, comfort, and overall health.

What should I expect when getting a crown?

Your dentist will complete your crown over two visits to Serene. The first appointment is to carefully shape existing teeth if required and take an intraoral scan of your mouth, including opposing teeth. The second appointment is to fit your crown and make certain that you are happy with your improved smile.

During your visits, your comfort is of the utmost importance, and you should not feel any discomfort. As always, you will be greeted and cared for by our attentive dental professionals, and you will have been offered our Enjoyable Dentistry Technique™ for optimum comfort during your time with us.
